Where are you located?
2900 Bristol St Suite J207, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
Look for Building J. Office is on 2nd floor. When you arrive, flip the switch on the wall that says "Ryan Borland" which will let me know you are in the waiting area
Do you take insurance?
I am in-network with United Health Care & Aetna and use Headway to verify and bill your benefits. For those using out-of network and have a PPO or HSA plan, I can provide a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement (please check with your insurance plan for reimbursement amount and what deductible might need to be met before reimbursement occurs). To use insurance benefits, a diagnosis must be provided and treatment goals need to address symptoms directly associated with the diagnosis (this is required for treatment to meet medical necessity).
Good Faith Estimate Disclosure
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What can I expect in therapy?
Therapy is not one-size fits all. Each person's experience is different depending on the issues bringing them to therapy (couples therapy, anxiety, etc). This is why I offer a brief consultation at no cost to help you decide if my approach is a good fit. Research has shown that feeling comfortable with the right therapist is one of the most important aspects of successful therapy. During the consultation, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, how I can help, and any concerns/questions you might have. You can request a consultation using the "Request Appointment" at the top of the page or by filling out the contact me form.
